This one’s for you, James Bond fans…

Guest vocalists Emer McParland and Iain Mackenzie join the internationally acclaimed BBC Big Band for a concert featuring The Music of James Bond… and Beyond at York Theatre Royal on 19 April.

If you’re a fan of James Bond or that kind of powerful music, this one’s definitely for you. I wouldn’t consider myself a classical or orchestral fan by any means, but every single time I’ve ever listened to live music or seen a Big Band live I’ve been blown away.

This concert is set to celebrate the music of one of the world’s most iconic movie franchise, James Bond, featuring classic numbers including Diamonds Are Forever, Thunderball, View to a Kill, Goldfinger and of course York composer John Barry’s iconic James Bond theme.

Alongside those familiar numbers the concert will feature a selection of more contemporary ones from the James Bond musical library, all performed in the BBC Big Band’s own inimitable style.

There’s something truly spellbinding about a live Big Band and I really can’t recommend it enough. Catch The Music of James Bond… and Beyond at York Theatre Royal in just a few weeks’ time.
