If you’ve been missing live entertainment, you don’t have long to wait until theatre returns.
St George’s Hall in Bradford is hosting two great comedy gigs in 2021: Omid Djalili: The Good Times Tour on Friday 30 April and Katherine Ryan – Missus on Friday 3 December.
Multi award-winning comedian and actor Omid Djalili has been busy during lockdown. After experimenting with a Zoom gig where he got muted by 639 people, he’s looking forward to returning to the stage. Intelligent, always provocative and entertaining, Omid’s stand-up performance is a captivating comedy masterclass.
He’s not just a comedian – Omid has been involved in TV roles, Hollywood films and even enjoyed runs on the West End stage. One thing’s certain though – he’s always received praise for his performances.
Huffinton Post’s Michael Levin describes him as “So hysterically funny and at the same time so poignant and powerful that calling it stand-up barely does it justice.”
Next up is Katherine Ryan, who’s bringing her new live show Missus to the Bradford stage towards the end of next year. She’s the creator and star of Netflix’s comedy The Duchess – currently dominating both TV and live comedy in the UK and further afield.
Her new show will address her marriage to her first love. A lot has changed for everyone and we can look forward to hearing Katherine Ryan’s hilarious new perspectives on life, love and what it means to be Missus.
I think we can all agree most people are in the mood for a good laugh. What better way to look forward to 2021 than to buy theatre tickets for a great giggle? Head to the Bradford Theatres website for more information.
