Rambert Dance Company’s triple bill includes work by Wayne McGregor, Hofesh Shechter and Marion Motin.
Rouge is a new creation by Marion Motin which marks her first work for the dance company. It’s influences by hip hop and instinctive natural movement. Rouge is danced to an original score by Micka Luna.
PreSentient was commissioned by Rambert in 2002. Wayne McGregor’s talent is very much present in this early piece for 12 dancers, winner of the Time Out Award for Best Choreography. PreSentient is revived by Rambert for the first time since its premiere. It is performed to Steve Reich’s Triple Quartet, played live.
Hofesh Shechter’s In Your Rooms is provocative, political and deeply personal. A collective of dancers reveal shifting motives, lack of control and vulnerabilities through intricate, touching encounters. The work features an original score, created by Hofesh in collaboration with Nell Catchpole. In Your Rooms marks the first time Rambert performs the work of Hofesh Shechter.
