The cast has been announced for York Theatre Royal’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty.
Jack Lansbury will be starring in the show as the King and Prince. He made his professional stage debut in the panto back in 2015 and returned the following year in Cinderella. Since then Lansbury has been performing in Wicked down in the West End.
Panto veteran Martin Barrass will play the Queen, while Nick Stuart will return to the panto as an ensemble member (he was last in the panto 20 years ago!) York panto family members David Leonard (Evil Diva), Suzy Cooper (Princess Beauty) and A.J Cooper (Darth Diva) are all returning for Sleeping Beauty with many ensemble members also returning as well as a few new faces.
It’ll be an interesting mix of familiar and new faces as Berwick Kaler takes a backstage role as writer and co-director.
Sleeping Beauty runs from 7th December to 25th January at York Theatre Royal.
