Comedy musical Avenue Q returns to the Alhambra Theatre following five years in the West End and smash hit tours in 2014, 15 and 16! Impressive stuff!
The show, packed with hilarious puppets muddling through life in New York, is full of mischief and political incorrectness. The show is created by some of the brains behind the Book of Mormon and writer of the songs for Disney’s Frozen. The two things don’t go together in my mind, but clearly it’s a very multi-talented team.
The characters are madcap, the songs are rude (The Internet is for Porn being the stand-out) and there’s plenty to be offended by. But it’s okay, because the show is all about puppets… right? It’s a funny musical with a lot of heart, and if you’re a bit cheeky but love a good musical this might be The One.
The show’s won Tony Awards and enjoyed appearances in over ten counties across the world. So aren’t we lucky it’s coming to Bradford!
Catch the show when it comes to town from 26th-30th March 2019.
