A sneak peek at A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol has already sold 17,000 tickets ahead of its run at Leeds Playhouse’s Pop-Up theatre, in association with SOYO Leeds.

The classic Dickens tale is being brought to life by the Leeds Ensemble team. The cold-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge will be played by Robert Pickavance. Bob Cratchit will be played by Darren Kuppan, Mrs Cratchit played by Jo Mousley. The ghosts of Christmas Past and Present, played by Tessa Parr and Elexi Walker respectively. Joe Alessi will play the infamous tormented ghost Marley; Susan Twist as Mrs Fezziwig; and Dan Parr as Fred. It’s yet again a strong cast and I’m looking forward to seeing them bring the show to life.

Two adorable local actors have been cast as Tiny Tim, following an open call-out. Lipalo Mokete and Seb Smallwood have been prepping for the play by rehearsing during their half term holidays – what dedicated stars in the making!

The team working to create the magic are incredibly talented. Deborah McAndrew has adapted the classic book for the stage, with Amy Leach directing. With such a talented team, this is sure to be a Christmas cracker.

Don’t miss the show when it comes to Leeds Playhouse from 20th November – 19th January  2019.
