Motown the Musical hits Leeds

Fancy a night out listening to over 50 Motown classics? Course you do!

The hit West End show, Motown the Musical, is heading to Leeds Grand Theatre in November as part of a huge UK and Ireland tour.

Follow the story of Motown Founder Berry Gordy as he changes music history, starting with just $800 borrowed from his family. Gordy discovered and launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder to name just a select few – an incredibly impressive legacy.

Gordy said: “The UK has always been the gateway for Motown to the rest of the world.  While the West Wnd production continues to perform to great audiences, I’m thrilled that we are taking a second production of Motown the Musical to the rest of the UK.”

The production will be directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, with Michael Lovesmith acting as Creative Consultant. Both have an impressive creative record, particularly Lovesmith who himself was a solo artist for Motown.

Don’t miss the show when it comes to Leeds Grand Theatre from 6th-17th November.
