The fact Jimmy Osmond is back in Yorkshire is really exciting to me. I saw him a while ago and he was AMAZING.
His latest show is a 70s Jukebox Show – which sounds pretty epic by anyone’s standards. A 7-piece band, dancers and backing singers are joining the international treasure as he takes to the stage to bring the house down as he always does, singing classics such as Love Me For A Reason and Crazy Horses, as well as a bundle of 70s hits.
I’m also super pleased to hear the audience will be treated to nostalgic videos and stories from Jimmy, as this was one of the most unusual and heartwarming aspects of his last tour. I loved hearing his showbiz stories and his very first performance on the Andy Williams Show at just three years old.
He’s a superstar in his own right, having performed for the Queen and at The White House. He’s also a musical theatre star – anyone who’s played the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat can go into my good books automatically.
In recent years he’s scraped the barrel a little appearing in reality shows such as I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! but I’m sure we can all forgive him for that since he was quite so adorable on the show.
Can you tell I’m a huge Jimmy Osmond fan? Catch the legend himself at King’s Hall, Ilkley, on 25th September.
