12 artists aged 18-25 will form West Yorkshire Playhouse’s first Young Company. They will collaborate with each other on a variety of eclectic projects whilst under the guidance of West Yorkshire Playhouse’s Director of Creative Engagement Alexander Ferris and Associate Director Amy Leach.
The group is made up of writers, actors, DJS and all things in between, so it’s sure to be an interesting collaboration. Supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, the project aims to give a fantastic opportunity to the young people of Leeds.
Alexander Ferris said: “We are thrilled to have recruited this brilliant group of early career artists to our very first Young Company. The diversity of their skills, experience, art forms and opinions are going to provide a rich and fascinating process as they go forward on their creative journey.”
Once again, well done to West Yorkshire Playhouse and the incredible award-winning Creative Engagement department for providing such a fantastic opportunity for young people.
